Rising Star Cafe & the Treasure welcome you to our new home away from home.  Ron & I your hosts, and my children who have become our able assistants, have been struck by the beauty of Wheeler and its' environs and by how welcome you have made us feel.

By way of background, Ron has been a chef for 30 years in and around the wilderness sports of the west.  I had been a Seattelite for about the same period of time and have tiptoed through all aspects of the hospitality industry while having a career as a cfo for an upstart, now-established engineering company, raising children and having taught special education for the past ten years.

Our vision for our business here is to create an extension of our home by, at the restaurant providing "fresh food prepared simply with style" and in the Treasure by making a comfy space for a cup of tea, a newspaper and maybe a quiet conversation.  We also intend to show movies at the Treasusre and have music and art on a regular basis, while providing a venue for local artists and artisans to show and sell their wares.

Cheers!
